GeoVancouver reserves the right to cancel any partner tour should the minimum number of registrants not be reached. In the event of a partner tour cancellation, the registrants will be notified via email and offered another partner tour or a full refund. Depending on the pricing of the tour, an additional charge may apply.

Walking tour from the Westin Bayshore Hotel along the seawall into downtown to look at the transformation of Coal Harbour and the surrounding area from industry and rail yards to the desirable residential neighbourhood it is today, into Gastown, the birthplace of Vancouver, then to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Chinatown.

Enjoy a one hour guided tour of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. This Garden is the FIRST classical garden constructed outside of China. It is modelled after the highest standards of private classical gardens in the City of Suzhou during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). A team of 53 Chinese master craftsmen from Suzhou spent 13 months constructing the Garden using traditional methods and materials brought from China. Be enchanted by the Garden`s winding paths, rocks, plants and beautiful vistas. Learn about the qualities necessary to become a scholar during this period. North Shore Excursion - Capilano Suspension Bridge Park - Cleveland Dam

Time to leave Vancouver for the North Shore travelling via Stanley Park and the impressive Lions Gate Bridge. First stop is the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park – world famous 450 ft. span bridge, 230 ft. above the Capilano River. Once you make it across the suspension bridge, walk along the Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure among the beautiful West Coast rainforest. Tour includes a brief history and nature talk. Find out where the name ``Capilano`` came from. Excellent Trading Post Gift Shop with many Canadian made products and upscale brands. 

On to Cleveland Dam built in 1954 to block the 670 acre man-made Capilano Lake which supplies approximately 40% of Metro Vancouver`s fresh drinking water. Capilano Lake and the peaks of the Lions provide a spectacular backdrop.

Enjoy lunch at The Beach House Restaurant which specializes in serving delicious and sustainable seafood and West Coast cuisine. It is located at the foot of West Vancouver`s Dundarave Pier which is one of the North Shore`s most celebrated landmarks.
