Volunteer Opportunities

Learn more about volunteering opportunities for 2018! We are still looking for volunteers who will help us turn this year’s conference into a total success; perhaps it could be you? Read more about the roles we offer our future volunteers and see where you might fit in! We are eager to receive your application for volunteering which you can send to us directly via email.

The Local Organizing Committee needs volunteers to host and assist the conference attendees with registration, direction, schedule, and general information, exhibition monitoring, plenary and technical sessions support, presentation rooms monitoring, media coverage, venue setup and cleanup.

In this section, you will have the opportunity to learn more about all the benefits that you will enjoy as a volunteer, but also read more about some of the requirements we have for you to become a volunteer. As a volunteer engineering student, Professional Engineer or Geoscientist you will have many opportunities to connect with practitioners, executives, and academics in a relaxed setting. There are many benefits which you will enjoy, even though the volunteering itself will not bring you any money.

Benefits include attending all the lectures at the conference in your free time. Otherwise, we also offer accommodation to volunteers who need accommodation while in Vancouver, lunch and the certification that you participated in the event. This certification might come in handy at your Uni and open more doors for you in the academic community. That being said, you will have the opportunity to make some long-lasting contacts and friendships even.
